About us

Built on what lasts.

Gibon exists for school owners who care about fundamentals: strong instruction, steady enrollment, and operations that don't fall apart when the front desk is doing three jobs and teaching kids class in twenty minutes.

The name is a reminder, not a gimmick.

Every great school returns to basics: bowing in, warming up, showing respect, doing the boring reps until they're not boring anymore. We built Gibon with that same discipline. Clear data, fewer workarounds, and software that doesn't fight the way you already run your dojo.

We're not a generic gym platform with a martial arts skin and a stock photo of someone in a white belt looking confused. We're instructors and operators who got tired of duct-taping websites, billing, and spreadsheets while trying to teach class.

The value isn't a single promotion day. It's the lifelong practice: students who keep coming back, instructors who keep improving, and a school that stays worth belonging to.

What guides how we build Gibon (when we're not fixing a billing edge case)
Co-founders

Software and the mat, in equal measure.

Gibon is built by two co-founders with the same stake in the outcome: one leads product and engineering, the other leads how the platform serves real schools and lifelong practice.

Co-founder · software & product

Justin leads Gibon's platform: architecture, product direction, and the details school owners feel every day in the admin and apps.

He has trained since he was thirteen. Tae Kwon Do under Nick Koclanis, then karate, judo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and kenpo, and still teaches. That background shows up in the product: fewer gimmicks, more respect for how schools actually run.

Martial arts gave him discipline for the long view. Gibon is how he pairs that with building software school owners can trust.

Co-founder · schools & instruction

Nick co-founded Gibon to bring decades of school ownership and instruction into every product decision, not as an afterthought, but as a requirement.

He has taught since the early nineties and built a Scottsdale-area school where families, kids, and competitors train together. His foundation is Tae Kwon Do under Korean Grand Master Chang Hai Choi, with deep study in tai chi, wing chun, judo, hapkido, and more.

A fifth-degree black belt and tai chi master, he has served in Arizona taekwondo leadership including the U.S. National Taekwondo Federation. He keeps Gibon grounded: software should support lifelong practice, not compete with it.

Bring your real workflows: trials, families, billing quirks, belt rules that only your school uses. We'll show you the platform on a demo, not a fantasy dojo with 400 perfectly behaved students.
